Boya, WA

Boya is located within the Perth Hills, 25 minutes’ drive east of the city centre.
The Government quarries were established here to supply granite for C.Y.OÇonnor”s Fremantle Harbour Scheme and a settlement grew up a round the site which continued operating until 1948.

Enjoy abseiling and bushwalking in the nearby Greenmount National Park. Tennis courts are available for hire.
The Railway Reserve Heritage Trail passes through Boya. This Trail retraces 70 kilometres of the old Eastern Railway, which was constructed from Fremantle to York in the 1880’s. Walking along the trail, you will discover the individual history and character of the small settlements that sprang up alongside the railway line.
This trail has become one of the major recreational facilities in the Mundaring shire and it is suitable for walking, cycling and horse riding; it features the attractive scenery and flora and fauna of the Darling Range
