Dunk Island, QLD

Dunk Island, the largest of the Family Islands, was known to the first inhabitants as ‘Coonanglebah’ – the Island of Peace and Plenty. Today, Dunk continues to be Australia’s most beautiful rainforest island.

Located 120 kilometres south of Cairns, most of the island is National Park, with unique tracts of virgin rainforests, sweeping arcs of golden sand and turquoise seas.
