Rathmines is located on the western shores of Lake Macquarie, near the towns of Toronto and Morisset. Once home to a WWII Catalina Seaplane Royal Australian Air Force base, Rathmines Park has an interpretative walk that guides visitors through the history of the Rathmines Base.
