Warialda Area

Warialda is one of the major town of Gwydir Shire nestled in pleasant bushland on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range. A productive rural region, Warialda is situated on the Gwydir Highway and is the northern gateway to the Fossickers Way tourist route and Southern entry/exit to the Rural Get-A-Way tourist route . Enjoy the many natural attractions within the Gwydir shire.

A number of scenic drives from Warialda can be enjoyed taking in villages of Gravesend, Croppa Creek, North Star and Coolatai. These productive farming and grazing areas provide an ever changing kaleidoscope with the seasons. Tourist drive 4 includes the limestone caves and McIntyre falls. Visitor Information is available at the Heritage Centre in Hope Street.
