Enerby Farm Cottage, Cockatoo Valley

Enerby Farm Cottage is situated in the old Barossa Goldfields, the cottage is part of other historic farm buildings which make up this unique collection of early Australian farming, on approximately 10 acres. Enerby Farm Cottage is heritage listed stone cottage circa 1900. In 1995 we renovated and added to the cottage to bring it to its present condition. The additions have been done to blend in with the cottage and complement it. There are two bedrooms, both with brass/iron queen size beds, one is decorated in dusty pink and Edwardian furniture to blend in with the era of the cottage and the other is decorated in yellow with blue, white and green highlights, this is furnished with a country cottage feel. The living area has a galley kitchen with full size stove and oven, microwave and most kitchen utensils one would need. There is a two seater sofa and a two and a half seater sofa bed. Open fire place, reverse cycle air-conditioning, colour television, video cassette recorder, compact disc player and tape deck. There are plenty of magazines to read and a few games. The dining table and chairs are also in this area. The bathroom is tiled in an Edwardian/Federation style with a separate large shower recess and a step up two person spa bath. French doors from the living area open onto a paved verandah with table and chairs. There is a cottage garden in front with lavender, rosemary and daisy bushes. From the verandah there are far reaching views down the valley with the Barossa ranges in the distance. With full breakfast provisions you will receive bacon, eggs, sausages, tomatoes, choice of three cereals, orange juice, milk, fresh homemade bread, and a selection of jams and spreads, some of these homemade , plus a selection of teas and coffee. On arrival you will receive a complimentary bottle of wine/sparkling, chocolates, and a plate of homemade biscuits. There is also a bowl of fresh fruit. The Barossa Goldfields Trail and Para Wirra Recreational Park are only a short walk away. Nearby is the Barossa Reservoir with its well known Whispering Wall and of course the vineyards of the famous Barossa Valley.

Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
