Cooinda Holiday Village, American River

Cooinda translated means ‘a peaceful place’. Built in 1981, in a natural bush setting, these units cater for those who prefer the intimacy that only a small complex can offer. From the privacy of your own balcony you can enjoy unequalled views of American River and Eastern Cove. Each unit is fully carpeted and has a modern, fully equipped kitchen. The comfortable lounge area contains a colour television and the modern bathroom is fully tiled. The units have two individual bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a double bunk. Extra folding beds are available on request. Linen and towels are supplied. The four dwellings can accommodate up to five people each and are separated by a carport, giving you that extra quietness you deserve. You have access to hire cars, day tours around the island and fishing cruises. Top quality licensed restaurants are only a short walk away.

Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes.
