Cowell Jade Motel, Cowell

Cowell has Australia’s only commercial jade mine and produces rare black jade as well as the more common greens and also some very colourful marble. Artefacts and jewellery made from the jade can be purchased from the factory and the Cowell Jade Motel. The motel is situated on 27 acres of land fronting the protected waters of Franklin Harbour, with the foreshore providing safe swimming areas and excellent facilities for all boat related activities including fishing, water skiing and sailing.

Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes.
