O’Deas Cottage, Tintinara

Introducing a country cottage with style and ambience. Perfectly positioned for the independent traveller, O’Deas Cottage offers a relaxed and convenient stopover in a rural setting. Surrounded by acres of farmland, the original limestone home has accommodation for four people. Built in the early 1900’s, the queen and twin rooms cater for two couples, singles or families. Wool quilts, feather pillows and crisp linen offer a good nights sleep. Warm up by the large open fire when it is cold outside.

Take in the view from the shady verandahs as evening arrives or take a stroll under the gums before night falls. Cook up a storm in the kitchen and dine at the table built from jarrah cladding rescued from salt air and sea winds. Enjoy the provisions for either a country or continental breakfast, at the dawn of the day or after a sleep in. Easy to find, O’Deas is just off the Dukes Highway and is only a stones throw from the nearest town, Tintinara (four kilometres).

On the road to Victoria, O’Deas is the ideal stopover for those wanting a shorter travelling day between Melbourne and Adelaide. Wine explorers will discover it is a perfect half way stay between the Barossa Valley and the Coonawarra and the Limestone Coast wine regions. Great Ocean Road tourers will find it is there at the end of a days drive. It is just the right distance from the Grampians and is on the ’round Australia trail’. So many reasons to stop and experience the charm of O’Deas Cottage.

Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
