Fairfield House, Emu Bay

Fairfield House is situated on the western end of Emu Bay, one of Kangaroo Island‘s most popular holiday destinations. Emu Bay, on the north central coast, is approximately 20 kilometres from the island’s major town of Kingscote – just far enough away to provide the freedom you are looking for, but still close enough to pick up the daily paper and enjoy a coffee downtown at Rodgers. Fairfield House was built in 1997 and provides a high standard of executive family accommodation. It is sited on three acres of absolute coastal frontage and boasts a private beach within metres of the front door. The layout of the house makes it ideal for one or two families with its four bedrooms. The two queen bedrooms have views overlooking the bay. The other bedrooms each have four single bunks and generous built in wardrobes, allowing easy accommodation for up to 12 people. Modern bathrooms, separate the queen bedrooms and back bedrooms on both sides of the house. The main feature of the house is the enormous kitchen and living area (approximately 140 square metres) which opens onto a substantial timber deck, both facilities of which enjoy breathtaking 200 degree views. Fishing is one of the popular activities at Emu Bay and Fairfield House is one of very few properties providing boat hire (conditions apply). Other entertainment facilities include two televisions, CD/radio player and gas barbecue for outside entertaining. For nature lovers, penguins can be both heard and seen at night at the front of the property.
