El Toro Motel, Mackay

The El Toro Motel is a well presented family run four star motel situated on Nebo Road. They are conveniently placed on the corner of Duncan Street, which allows for two street access and a quiet side street for off street parking of trucks and larger vehicles. Their location places them at the northern end of Nebo Road with easy access to the major shopping centres, city heart, entertainment centre, and sporting facilities. They have the showgrounds within walking distance as well as only a short drive to the airport, bus terminal and train station. The new marina facilities are just a 15 minute drive away.

There are 19 rooms offering air-conditioned comfort to guests. Rooms cater for individual and group or family stays. Family rooms are large one bedroom units sleeping up to six people. Foldaway beds and cots are also available. Three of the family rooms are on the first floor and open onto a large balcony area. All other units are ground floor with undercover parking.

Children are especially welcome at the El Toro Motel. There is a cubby house and sandpit located in a colourful and secure area, along with other activities to keep them interested. There are outdoor tables and chairs for you to relax at while watching the children. The motel is also licensed for your enjoyment.

Mackay has a range of tourist attractions available to you and the staff are most willing to organise your tours, as well as being a convenient motel pick-up for most tours. One of the major highlights is to virtually guarantee you the chance to see platypus in their natural environment when you travel to nearby rainforest area.
