Alara Plaza Motor Inn, Mackay

The Alara Plaza Motel is a beautifully presented four star motel, located three minutes drive from the heart of Mackay on the main thoroughfare of Nebo Road (Highway 1). All 34 ground floor units are currently being refurbished and each has an undercover, off-street car park with plenty of room for trailers. Every room features a queen size bed, air conditioning, remote control television, as well as cable television and broadband ports supplying high speed secure internet access. Also located in each room is a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities and a fully stocked minibar. The property also has four two bedroom family units, and three rooms with double spa baths.

The fully licensed, a-la-carte Sea Winds restaurant has been recently refurbished and offers a relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy their renowned dishes and friendly service. They specialise in succulent steaks and local seafood. Guests may also choose to dine al fresco style on the terrace overlooking the tropical surrounds of the pool. Room service is also available.

For your enjoyment, the complex features a heated sauna and spa as well as an inviting, sparkling salt water pool. There is a fully equipped guest laundry for your convenience and a state of the art electronic room locking system ensures the security of guests and replaces a standard key system with an encrypted swipe card.

The Alara Plaza Motel has a fully equipped conference facilities that can be booked for meetings, interviews, functions as well as private dinners. Refreshments and equipment can be arranged.
