Happy Wanderer Village, Hervey Bay

Accommodation Options

Villa

Modern design and are tastefully decorated with Queensland in mind. They have two bedrooms, the main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has two singles. The villas are self contained, with a fully equipped kitchen including microwave, full size oven, fridge, all crockery and cutlery. The villas are built in a duplex arrangement with a sliding verandah partition for privacy. This can be locked back to provide a shared verandah area when friends or family are next door. The verandah area has an outdoor setting and is shaded by sails.

Family Units

Family Units provide good, basic family accommodation. They have two bedrooms, with a double in one room and bunks and a small single in the other. A couch in the living area also drops down to make another double bed. These units have a kitchen, with oven and hotplates, a microwave and all utensils. They have a colour television and air conditioning. Fans are in all rooms. When booking these units you have the option to bring your own linen or they can supply it for a nominal fee.

Studio Units

Studio units are open plan, motel style, with a kitchen and ensuite. They have a double bed, bunks and a couch that folds out to make another double if necessary. They are equipped with cooking facilities, kitchen utensils, fans and colour television. There’s an outdoor setting on the verandah. You have the option to bring your own linen or they can supply it for a nominal fee.

Budget Cabin

Double bed in separated bedroom. Kitchen/living area with cooking facilities, crockery and cutlery, fridge, television, fans. Verandah with outdoor setting. Linen hire available. Private external ensuite.

Backpacker Cabins

These are purpose designed for international travellers. They have two separate bedrooms, each with a double and a single bunk style bed. Lock up cupboards and drawers which are individually keyed (as are the rooms) for security. You can hire these cabins by the bedroom or share with one other person. Shared kitchen facilities including cooking facilities, all crockery, cutlery, utensils, cookware. Fans and television. Verandah and outdoor setting.Linen hire available. Private ensuite external to cabin.

Camping

Spacious, shaded, grassed camping sites. Campers kitchen provided free of charge, includes oven, stove, microwave, toasters, kettle, crockery, cutlery, cookware, dishwashing facilities with hot water and fridges. An adjacent covered area also houses free gas barbecues and plenty of tables and chairs. Video games room and television and internet access all adjacent. Shared amenities block is spotlessly clean and provides decent, hot showers. Laundries provide washing, drying and ironing facilities for a nominal fee.

Powered Site

The Standard sites are all located round the main amenities block, all come with power, town water and sullage point. The laundry, camp kitchen, disabled and family facilities are all close by.

Ensuite Site

The Happy Wanderer has the greatest number of tourist ensuite sites available in Queensland. Each ensuite site, as well as having its own private bathroom facilities, also has power, water, sullage and television connection. These sites are also very popular with campers, who pitch their tent beside the pad and use it for a verandah, this coupled with the convenience and security of your own ensuite makes camping a pleasure. They also have a number of ensuite sites designed to be Drive – Through, so that you don’t have to disconnect your van this is ideal for that quick stopover.
