The Islander, North Stradbroke Island

The Islander is ideally located at Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island, just 20 minutes drive from Brisbane to the Cleveland ferry terminal, then a 45 minute water taxi or barge ride to Dunwich. The resort is opposite Home Beach and close to famous Cylinder Beach and many other attractions, including the Bowls Club, Hotel, several restaurants and shops selling local arts and crafts.

Guests can choose from three distinctive styles of accommodation, most with balconies overlooking the gardens, pool and floodlit tennis court. All are fully self-contained.

Facilities include a floodlit full size tennis court with artificial grass, swimming pool, undercover barbecue area, children’s playground, spacious Hibiscus gardens and undercover parking.

You’ll never be short of something to do, whether action or relaxation is what you are after, the island offers, swimming at the beach or beautiful lakes, surfing, scuba diving, sea kayaking, four wheel drive tours, rock, surf or boat fishing, golf, whale, dolphin and turtle spotting in their natural habitat, bushwalking, bird watching, picnics or a moonlight stroll along the beach.

Car ferries and water taxis depart Cleveland regularly during the day, from Toondah Harbour in Middle Street to North Stradbroke Island. On the island, you will arrive at Dunwich where the local bus can take you to point lookout.
