CountryWide Cottages, Bambra

Our four uniquely themed cottages are surrounded by bushland, providing privacy to all guests. Choose from the Castle, the Villa, the Bure or the brand new Igloo (independant disabled access); three and two bedroom cottages. Take in the fresh air and the peaceful bush setting; sit back with a good book, soft music and a glass of wine. Relax by the wood fire, on the verandah or around your own private campfire. Don’t forget the marshmallows! Wonder the bush tracks on the property or hop over the stile to gain access to the fabulous Otway National Park (previously Angahook State Park). Try your luck at catching some yabbies in our fully stocked dam. You may even catch enough for dinner! Come and meet Sam and Norman, the very shy but delightful alpacas. Our sheep include a big boy named Timor and two lovely little hand raised lambs, Paniq and Ilnirq. We have some lovely floopy eared bunnies for your children to play with. Our chickens do their best to keep up the egg supply to ensure you get a taste of their wonderful free range lifestyle. In the beginnings of our very own Ned’s retreat, you’ll find a gas barbecue in the Saddlery with undercover or outdoor picnic tables for easy dining. Next door in the Glenrowan Pub, play a game of pool, darts of hookey or just stay a while. Lots of room to kick the footy or to bowl a few overs. See if you can catch a glimpse of the Kelly gang! We are very central to the spectacular Great Ocean Road, Lorne, the Otway Fly Tree Top Walk, galleries, berry farms, waterfalls, beaches, bushwalks and picnic spots. Well behaved doggy guests will love the bush tracks and space. We provide them with comfy beds and home made doggie treats on arrival. They’ll love it!

Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes. Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
