Grand Pacific Hotel, Lorne

The Grand Pacific Hotel was built in the 1870’s as one of the first hotels along the Great Ocean Road. Originally accessed only by sea with superb views in one of the most unique settings on the coast, opposite the Lorne pier. DINING Our cafe/restaurant is relaxing and friendly, with large ceiling to floor windows taking in the stunning views. The menu is stylish and ever changing offering meals at very affordable prices. Enjoy live jazz in the restaurant every Saturday night with dinner. BARS Each with it’s own unique character and all with beautiful ocean views. Visit the funky F2 bar or the lounge (both with log fires in the winter), and there are plenty of outdoor tables with views of the ocean, pier and township. FUNCTIONS Room available for birthdays, weddings, small conferences or any special occasion. ACCOMMODATION Many accommodation options with different standards and sizes of hotel rooms in the historic building, which includes TV/video, heaters, mini refrigerators, clock radios and continental doonas. There are Pacific King spa rooms, Pacific King, Pacific Pier Queen, Pacific Queen and Pacific double. All have modern en-suites and most have panoramic ocean views. In addition we have a choice of 1, 2 or 3 bedroom fully self-contained modern stylish apartments – most with large terraces and stunning ocean views. WHAT TO SEE Lorne is one of the scenery destinations of Australia. Ocean, mountains, rocks and rainforest combine at Lorne. Beautiful sunrises in the winter and Lorne is fortunate to have whales visit en route to have their babies at Logan’s Beach.
