King Boutique Accommodation, Fitzroy

King Boutique Accommodation is situated overlooking the Royal Exhibition Building located in the Carlton Gardens both of which are now on the World Heritage List. Although the house was built in 1867 and is on Victoria’s Heritage List, It was formerly known as Melton House.

The decor is modern and uncluttered. The architect and original occupier was J.B .Denny the supervising architect for St Patricks Cathedral, the house has a colourful past. There are two large bedrooms on the first floor. Each has access to the return balcony on the first floor overlooking the gardens while the third bedroom is on the second floor. The two first floor rooms each have separate private marble bathrooms. One with a bath and double shower 2nd with a double shower while the third room has a small ensuite bathroom. All rooms have queen size bed, refrigerators and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a guest lounge with television and CD player and separate breakfast room where fully cooked breakfast are served. Guests do not share spaces with the hosts, guaranteeing privacy.
