Menenia Rural Retreat, Mininera

At the end of a two kilometre driveway, a carriageway leads you through extensive picturesque gardens with imposing deciduous trees. Guests may choose the in-house bedroom with private bathroom or the intimate cottage ( with was the original 1850s kitchen) with its bluestone walls, big open fireplace, king size bed and ensuite bathroom.

Menenia is a working farm and our guests are welcome to walk and explore the property. Farm tours are available by request. Whichever you choose, guests enjoy breakfast (or dinner) in the formal dining room of the homestead. Menenia is a relaxing base from which to explore the Grampians, the Great Ocean Road and Ballarat. Menenia is situated close to the Great Southern Touring Route. Escape to Menenia for a night, a weekend or longer.

Australia has miles and miles of shoreline but which beaches are really great? Ultimately it depends on what you're looking for in a beach. Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes.
