Friendly Hostel, The, Hervey Bay

Relax amongst the tropical gardens, feel the cool sea breezes and enjoy ocean views from the large back balcony, the perfect place for an Al Fresco breakfast or quiet glass of wine in the evening.

Unique apartment style accommodation in a beautifully restored Queenslander that is naturally cool in summer and warm in winter with ceiling fans in all rooms. Each apartment has it’s own fully equipped kitchen, television, lounge and bathroom. Laundry facilities are available. The Friendly Hostel is quiet, safe, spotlessly clean, friendly and peaceful.

Just like home with real beds (single or double with quality inner-spring mattresses) in all rooms – no bunks! Dorms sleep a maximum of only three people, twin and double rooms are also available. A four-bed dorm is available on request for four people travelling together. Serviced two and three bedroom apartments, sleeping up to eight people, are also available.

They have a completely independent, comprehensive in-house tour booking office and live and breathe Fraser Island every day so they can make sure that you get the trip that’s best for you. Whale Watching tours are available from late July to early November as well! The Friendly Hostel can also assist you with all forward reservations and offer excellent discounts on all Whitsunday Sailing and Diving trips.

A free breakfast (conditions apply), linen, barbecue, forward bus and hostel bookings, courtesy pick-up on request, book exchange and tour bookings are also available.
