Koala Beach Resort Hervey Bay, Hervey Bay

Hervey Bay is the gateway to the world heritage listed Fraser Island, which is the largest sand island in the world. From River Heads in Hervey Bay the ferry crossing to the Island takes approximately thirty minutes and arrives at Wongoolba Creek on the east coast. From here you and your four wheel drive head north and experience such wonders as Lake McKenzie, Lake Wabby and Indian Head.

Hervey Bay, famous also for its whale watching (August to October) is often described as an ‘aquatic playground’ from where travellers can enjoy a wide range of water sports and activities.

Situated on the beach in the township of Torquay, Koala Beach Resort is just fifty metres to all facilities including banks, post office, shops, bar and restaurants and offers the perfect base for any Fraser Island Adventure.

Koalas offer a free courtesy bus pick up from Premier Motor Service, Greyhound-McCaffertys Coach lines as well as Oz Experience.

Koala Beach Resort Hervey Bay is an authentic Queenslander and offers comfortable backpackers accommodation set in an oasis of pool and palm trees!

Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes.
