Eulo Queen Hotel, Eulo
The Eulo Queen Hotel was once owned and operated by Isobel MacIntosh – who named herself the Opal Queen of the Outback – in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This information and much more can be viewed in the hotel dining room.
The Eulo Queen Hotel today boasts fine wines, an extensive menu, budget accommodation, air-conditioned ensuite cabins, camping sites in comfortable surrounds, clean amenities, outdoor barbecue and camp oven open fire cooking area. Small or large groups are most welcome. Pets are not a problem.
During spring, small group tours of the South West’s natural and other attractions can be arranged. Birdwatching, native animal viewing and photography are specialties.
The town of Eulo offers visitors other attractions such as the Date Farm and Winery, the old Eulo General Store, the Bilby Burrow and art centre and, of course, the Paroo River for fishing and yabbying. Nature drives have been carefully planned in and around the river channels and lagoons. Eulo Queen Opals and giftware will highlight your visit.
