Blueseas Cottage, Adelaide

The “Blueseas Cottage” at Port Willunga is the fifth house back from the Esplanade/ocean and walking distance to the beach. There are fabulous views of Port Willunga beach from the end of the street and a table and chairs to watch the spectacular sunsets from the cliffs. It is an as new brick home with eight rooms, four bedrooms and two bathrooms, ducted air conditioning, dishwasher, washing machine and television and video machine and set on a large corner block with plenty of room for children to play whilst you enjoy a wine from the region. The patio/barbecue area is off the family room and can be used “rain, hail or shine”.

The whole house is available for bookings for up to eight persons or as bed and breakfast style accommodation for a minimum of two nights for two persons or one night for four persons (we only take one booking at a time so you have the house to yourselves).

One of the best beaches in South Australia, Port Willunga beach is only five minutes walk alongside the sea and only 45 minutes from the Adelaide central business district. The world renowned wine region of McLaren Vale is 10 minutes drive where gold award winning reds and whites can be sampled daily and where many of the wineries offer delectable local produce from their restaurants. Try the oysters at Hugh Hamilton’s on a Sunday from May to October and it is worth a visit just for the views from their circular building. The Star of Greece cafe at Port Willunga is famous for its local seafood caught daily by local fisherman Geoff Howe and the new Reef Raff at Aldinga Beach has added a deck for al fresco dining. The Victory Hotel at Sellicks Beach is reputed to have the best cellar in South Australia (bookings required for restaurants). The Aldinga Hotel and three in Willunga and restaurants in McLaren Vale provide a wide range of dining to suit all tastes and pockets. Visit the markets in Willunga, held every second Saturday of the month, follow up with a game of golf in Willunga. A shopping centre including a Medical Centre is two kilometres away and there are several takeaway food outlets along the Esplanade.

Come and enjoy the ambience of Port Willunga and Aldinga Beach with scenery and aquamarine water as beautiful as the Mediterranean and no passport required.

Aldinga Beach is only two minutes away by car and has three car boat ramps along five kilometres of pristine water and you can park on the beach all day.
