Hidden Valley Cabins, Hidden Valley

At the Hidden Valley Cabins, you will experience a very friendly, peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Home-cooked meals are provided and you will be impressed with our wide selection of wine, beer and spirits. You may like to use the unique barbecue facilities (and marvel at the log construction). The individual log cabins are surrounded with a wide selection of native fauna to attract the local birds and wildlife. They are built from all local timber, even the beds and bedroom furniture were built from local red mahogany. While you’re in the area, take a walk to Running River and watch the platypus play, see the wallabies grazing and spot some very interesting birds. There has been over 110 species of birds sighted in the Hidden Valley area so far.

The climate is another great feature of the area. It is usually ten degrees cooler than the coast in summer, and cool enough for wood-fires in the winter.

Whichever way you decide to get here, there is always an alternative way to leave. Enjoy the Paluma Range with it’s spectacular waterfalls, or visit Wallaman Falls just out of Ingham.

There’s something for everyone.

Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
