Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort is situated on Moreton Island, only a 75-minute cruise across Moreton Bay by a high-speed catamaran from Brisbane. The resort is a perfect destination for guests seeking a unique adventure, educational or nature based experience in a truly relaxed environment that is right on Brisbane’s doorstep! The star attraction at the resort is undoubtedly the unique experience of hand feeding a pod of wild bottlenose dolphins. All overnight guests have the opportunity to wade into the water and feed these amazing creatures.

From June through to October, visitors to Tangalooma can partake in whale watching tours, getting a close view of these gentle giants. Surrounded by a sub-temperate forest, visitors can enjoy the island’s crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches by participating in the wide range of adventure or nature based tours and activities on offer. The resort’s Desert Safari Tour allows guests to participate in the thrilling sport of sand tobogganing down a 70 metre high sand dune whilst reaching speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour- it’s exhilarating run!

Other action packed things to do and see include ATV quad bike tours, Marine Eco Cruise, jet ski tours, four wheel drive tours, parasailing, snorkeling, scuba diving and many more. Dining facilities at the Resort include Tursiops Buffet Restaurant, beachfront Steakhouse and Chef’s A-la-carte Restaurants, Beach Caf and Coffee Shop. Accommodation options at Tangalooma include 96 air-conditioned hotel rooms, 134 self-contained resort units and 56 luxurious two-storey villas – all 50 metres of the beachfront! Tangalooma’s high-speed catamarans depart from Brisbane’s Holt St Wharf at Pinkenba daily. The wharf is easily accessible being only a 15-minute drive from the Central Business District and 10 minutes from Brisbane Airport. Coach transfers from Brisbane Airport, Roma Street Transit Centre and selected Central Business District hotels can be booked on request.
