Goulburn River Stone Cottages, Ulan

A unique bushland retreat that provides rustic style, comfortable accommodation, open fireplace, privacy, spectacular scenery, native wildlife and wonderful bushwalks. Self-contained cottages in secluded valley
on the Goulburn River north of Mudgee, central west NSW Australia.
This 2000-acre property is surrounded by Goulburn River National Park.
Meander along the river through sandstone gorges, delight in
bird life from the veranda and the stars at night, or just relax
in this wonderfully tranquil bushland.

Our property “Gleniston” is situated in the Upper Hunter valley, 40 minute drive (50 kilometres) north of Mudgee and 30 minutes drive north-east from Gulgong

Accommodation Options

Saddlers Cottage

Saddler CabinA larger stone and mudbrick dwelling (sleeps 6-8 people) situated on a sheltered ridge 5 minutes walk from the river. It consists of a central living/kitchen area (futon couch sleeps 2) adjoined by a small sunroom (sleeps 2-4) and a small double bedroom (sleeps 2). There is a large open fireplace and a full sized bath with shower in the bathroom and flush toilet. Hot water, cooking and refrigeration all operate on gas and the lighting is 12 volt solar powered.

River Cottage

Situated in a sheltered position on the banks of the river about 700 metres from the main house. Built of stone and local timber it consists of a large living/kitchen area with a wide sunny verandah at the front and a basic bathroom at the back (full-sized bath & septic toilet). The cottage is powered by gas (stove, fridge, hot water) 12 volt solar lights. An open fireplace heats the cottage during the colder months. This cottage sleeps up to four people (double bed, couch bed and single bed on verandah).
