Tallawanta Lodge – Hunter Valley Gardens, Pokolbin

Formerly Hunter Valley Gardens Lodge and winner of Best Deluxe Accommodation in NSW, Tallawanta Lodge is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens with spectacular vineyard and mountain views. Tallawanta is an Aboriginal word meaning “Meeting Place” which signifies the gathering together of friends, families and groups. The entire property is owned and managed by the Roche family.

Tallawanta Lodge offers a broad range of facilities to satisfy all your requirements including 72 guestrooms, with many of the rooms now including sunken tubs with an atrium above, spas and open fireplaces. Each room is meticulously appointed with modern furnishings and earthy tones and opens out onto a private balcony or courtyard, allowing guests to take in the beautiful views and magnificent gardens.

Depending on the time of year you visit, you can laze the day away around our heated resort style swimming pool, spa and sauna or get comfortable with a warm drink and read your favourite book by the fire. Try your hand at tennis on one of the two full sized courts or relax while wine tasting at one of the on site cellar doors. A short walk to Hunter Valley Gardens Village brings you to a huge variety of boutique retail shops, cellars, restaurants, cafes, and chapel.
