Cranford Cottage, Croki

Luxury federation waterfront home on the magnificent Manning River. Set in Croki, a sleepy rural historical village north of Taree surrounded by lush dairy farms and overlooking Oxley and Mitchell islands and the big brother mountains to the North.

The village of Croki has a fenced river swimming pool, shaded BBQ area and historical wharf.

The cottage has a verandah and entertainment area with spectacular views of the Manning River and across the river to Oxley Island and Mitchells Island.

A must is a visit to Harrington and Crowdy Head fisherman’s co-op for fresh seafood and a swim in the surf. Take a drive up to Crowdy Lighthouse for Panoramic views. The historic hotel at Coopernook is worth a visit along the way.

Yes, you are in prime oyster country . Pop down to the oyster sheds for fat fresh Sydney rock oysters. If you can’t catch a feed of fish you’re not trying!

The tranquil waterways are well worth exploring for some great unspoilt scenery. The historic butter factory on Mitchell Island and lovely old church are worth a cruise to, down scotts creek, opposite Croki. There are some lovely walks around the village and along the river, it is a totally quiet and peaceful location. The friendly locals provide a real country atmosphere.

Taree and the Manning Valley has some wonderful art and craft galleries, cafe’s and country markets. Visit Wingham Brush/Timbertown, Timbertown at Wauchope and the Ellenborough Falls.

Checkin and checkout times are flexible.
