Far Meadow Lodge Bed & Breakfast, Berry

Far Meadow Lodge is a glorious gem adorning the undulating hills and rural pastures that lead to the sea between Berry and Shoalhaven Heads, 2 hours south of Sydney. Offering space, comfort, tranquility and luxurious furnishings/amenities, Far Meadow Lodge is country-style bed and breakfast accommodation at its finest.

The 15 acre property offers a choice of in-home or self-contained accommodation, with spa baths, wood heaters and private patios in each suite. The in-house Garden Suite with a queen size bed and double sofa bed is suitable for couples, friends or a family of three or four. The private patio and separate guest sitting room with wood fire, library and spa bathroom have made this cosy retreat so popular that regular guests often return once or twice a year to experience Far Meadow Lodge’s unique recipe of informal country hospitality.

Step into the garden where you will find the Seahaven Cottage – a self-contained, open plan cottage with fully-equipped kitchen, spa bathroom, laundry and wood fire, with sleeping for four.

Breakfast is served in a sun-bathed dining room, with panoramic views of the nearby mountains, farmland and ocean spanning as far as the eye can see. After indulging in what is more like a gourmet brunch than breakfast, guests may then stroll around the extensive gardens and woodlands, take a dip in the saltwater pool or discover all the beauty this part of NSW has to offer, which includes Seven Mile Beach National Park, Kangaroo Valley, Jervis Bay, Bundanon (artist Arthur Boyd’s gift to the Nation), and of course the historic village of Berry itself.

For the more active guests, there is easy access to golf courses, tennis courts, beaches and rivers for fishing, kayaking and swimming. For the more culturally minded, there are numerous art galleries, craft and antique shops. For the gourmets, there are vineyards, cafes and restaurants offering a diversity of quality food and wine.

As well as standard weekend and midweek accommodation, three, five and seven day packages are available at competitive bed and breakfast or self-catering rates.
