Tallow-wood Rural Retreat, Krambach

Tallow-wood is a fully self contained 3 bedroom house which sleeps up to 8. It is on a working beef property in a quiet undulating valley, providing easy access to beaches and the Barringtons area for scenic views, horseriding and canoeing.

Winter is a wonderful time to be at Tallow-wood. First thing in the morning there can be a frost but with the continued dry weather on the east coast the days are just lovely.

This is a good time to go horseriding at Camp Cobark. It is only 50 minutes country driving the other side of Gloucester on the Scone road.

This is also a nice time to explore the forest roads, and the lookouts in the Barrington Tops should be really clear now even if a little chilly.

If the sea temperature stays at 20C then a brave dip at Forster would tone up the body.

Whatever your interests there are many places to vist around the area. Tallow-wood is “central” between the Barringtons and the beach. And at the end of a day’s outing Tallow-wood is a relaxing environment.

Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
