Lake Keepit Sport and Recreation Centre, Gunnedah

The Centre is in North West of New South Wales on the foreshores of beautiful Lake Keepit, surrounded by pastoral and timber country. Guest can photograph the biggest sunset, fish for yellowbelly and freshwater cod, or simply hang out with the local kangaroos, wallabies, parrots and pelicans, it offers an excellent balance between relaxation and outdoor recreation.
More adventurous groups can try the new Keepit Country Campout, located less than 2km away on a breathtaking peninsula extending into Lake Keepit.

The Campout includes tents, camp kitchen, toilets, shelters and a campfire amphitheatre for after dark entertainment. You’ll enjoy the some of the best views of Australia’s evening skylines while camping out under the stars. No wonder they call this Big Sky Country!

The Centre’s activities include sailing, canoeing or kayaking on the lake, nature walks, rock climbing, swimming in the Centre’s in-ground pool, and even taking to the skies for a breathtaking flight in a modern two-seater glider.
