Kanimbla View Clifftop Retreat, Blackheath

Kanimbla View is a unique clifftop retreat in the Blue Mountains — peaceful with spectacular views yet only 90 minutes from Sydney.

Offering stylish, comfortable self-contained accommodation — from budget to eco-luxury — we cater for couples, families and groups up to 22 — for holidays, conferences, yoga retreats and great celebrations!

The retreat also has a unique Glasshouse Spa, full-size tennis/basketball court and peaceful walking tracks.

Nestled in 12 acres of beautiful woodland — and borderd by extensive Crown land reserves — the retreat is only 3 minutes from Blackheath village’s great cafes, restaurants, galleries and bakeries. The World Heritage Blue Mountains national park and the area’s main tourist attractions are closeby.

Accommodation Options

Eco-cottages

Our 2 eco-cottages are set in their own private bushland setting. Both have 3 large double bedrooms that can be configured for singles or couples. as well as 2 bathrooms. The cottages feature a dramatic split-level lounge/dining/kitchen area.

Inside you can relax with an excellent selection of books, magazines and games. Have the CD running in the background, as you gaze through 2.7 m recycled sash windows out onto a lush array of banksias, waratahs and mature gum trees.

Outside you can fire up the BBQ, eat outside or retire to your own bush deck to take in Kanimbla’s "natural quiet". Just a few minutes way you could play some tennis, soak in our glasshouse spa or seek out a private clifftop lookout.

Studio

The Studio provides couples with budget accommodation and access to all of Kanimbla View’s amenities. It is a large (76 sq m) open plan building with well appointed lounge, dining/kitchen and sleeping areas. Its private bathroom is located just 10 paces away in our adjacent Adobe Lodge.

While in the Studio you can enjoy its large slow-combustion wood stove, 63 cm TV/VCR, full stereo radio/CD system and a large selection of books, magazines and games. The Studio also has its own covered verandah/ BBQ area.

Just 25 metres away is our glasshouse spa where you can soak in some beautiful views of the bush. A minute away is our games court where you can play tennis or basketball under a cathedral of gum trees. A 15-minute walk will take you to a private clifftop lookout with spectacular views and real "natural quiet".

The Bungalow

A small house of great charm. Perfect for couples and young families. Sleeps up to 6.
