Tassiriki Ranch, Empire Vale

Nestled amongst the cane fields on the North Coast of New South Wales, holidays at Tassiriki Ranch combine a farm-stay experience in a relaxed rural atmosphere with the opportunity to experience the un-spoilt natural beauty of South Ballina beach. Relax in comfortable self-contained holiday cabins just a short walk to forty kilometres of uncrowded pristine beach and blue ocean stretching from South Ballina break-wall in the north to Evans Head in the south. During off-peak season the beach is virtually empty, no-one to be seen for miles, it’s very private. During peak season (long-weekends & school holidays) you will share the beach with just a small number of holidaying fisherman searching for that special spot on the beach likely to return a fish or two, but still quite private.

Sorry we do NOT hire our own horses for beach and trail rides. However, we conduct horse awareness and riding lessons for adults and children over 10 years of age, and lead pony rides for younger children. These activities are all carried out on the property in a fenced arena.

At Tassiriki Ranch we also have accommodation for your horse so you can experience a beachside holiday together. Comfortable self-contained holiday cabins with facilities for horses located just over the sand dunes from one of the best beaches in Australia where horse riding is permitted. Tassiriki Ranch offers a unique and economical farm-stay and horse riding experience. Located just 75 minutes south of the Gold Coast, Tassiriki Ranch is the perfect holiday spot for horse enthusiasts living in South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales looking for beachside holiday accommodation where you can take your own horse with you on holiday. Horse riding holidays with your own horse and your friends, galloping along the golden sandy beach and swimming in the sparkling blue ocean. Stay a day, a night, a weekend, or as long as you’d like. You can even park your float on site and leave your horse at Tassiriki Ranch while you continue on to enjoy other places.

Although Tassiriki Ranch promotes itself primarily as a horse riding holiday location we are happy to accommodate guests without horses. Our non-horseriding guests can still take advantage of the our comfortable facilities and close proximity to the various holiday activities available nearby.

Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
