Edgewater Motel, Burrill Lake

Edgewater Motel is located off the Princes Highway, right on Burrill Lake
inlet and only a few minutes walk over the sand dunes to the ocean. It has
ten spacious ground-floor units, all with views of the water.

We are a member of the Budget Motel Chain, so you are assured of clean,
comfortable and reasonable-priced accommodation.

Each unit has an en-suite bathroom and is equipped with colour TV,
refrigerator, fan, electric heater, clock/radio, electric blankets and
tea/coffee making facilities. All the units are non-smoking although smoking
is permitted outside the units.

The garden has a covered gas barbecue area and has absolute water frontage
onto Burrill Lake Inlet. From the garden you can watch a wide variety of
wading birds, including herons, egrets and spoonbills, as well as cormorants
and pelicans. We also have a local flock of rainbow lorikeets which will come
to be hand fed.

Beautiful Burrill Beach is just a short walk along the inlet. Dolphins are
frequently seen off the beach. It is a good walk to do the circuit from the
Motel to the beach. The beach is not patrolled, however the inlet provides a
number of swimming holes with shallow beaches. There is also a wide variety
of marine and bird life on the way to delay you if you wish.

There is good lake, beach and rock fishing within walking distance. Tennis
and mini-golf are available across the highway and there is a children’s
playground on the other side of the inlet.

Come and enjoy the peace of Edgewater where the emphasis is on relaxation in
quiet surroundings with friendly hospitality at a reasonable price.

Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
