Beach House, Hat Head

Accommodation for up to 12 people. If you enjoy peaceful, relaxing holidays at the Beach, this is the place for you.

Hat Head is renowned for its tranquil lifestyle. Yet it is also renowned for fabulous fishing, great surfing, safe swimming, and fun.

The Beach House has the biggest amount of accommodation in Hat Head, and is situated right at the Beach Access. This refurbished house sleeps up to 12 people in 5 bedrooms. This has 2 kitchens and bathrooms, TVs and Videos. Alternatively part of it can be booked, a house ‘The Beach House’ that sleeps 8 or an adjoining flat ‘Pelican Place’ that sleeps 4.

The Beach House has a sunny north facing verandah with lock up garage, TV video and all the standard inclusions to make your holiday memorable. Fully equiped kitchen, laundry, and separate freezer for the keen fishermen.

The property is directly opposite beach access ‘4’, less than a minutes walk to the beach, five minutes to the bowling club.

When we were young, we visited Hat Head (actually stayed in this house) with our parents and had great times. We would explore the beach and creek, build sand castles, collect shells, swim in the surf or paddle in the creek. We also would head out of Hat Head on day-trips to Kempsey and the forest and river hinterland, or explore South West Rocks, Arakoon and Trial Bay Gaol. When we brought our canoe we would take lunch and paddle up the creek. Always the snorkelling in the creek was great, watching the multitude of fish going about their business. When all else failed, we would go and catch some fish.

Mum always found time to relax, while Dad had us entertained with Hat Head’s natural treasures. One thing that we certainly never did do, was get bored. There was always something to do.

Come and see for yourself.

Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
