Kingstown Barracks, Perth

Kingstown offers three different types of accommodation: Rottnest Island Youth Hostel, Governors’ Circle House and Kingstown Barracks. Accommodation ranges from dormitory style to self contained cottages. Kingstown houses the Rottnest Island Environmental Education Centre, an education and accommodation venue for schools, community groups and the general public.

It is the perfect place from which to enjoy the island and discover why Western Australians make Rottnest their holiday destination.

A free shuttle bus departs from the main bus stop to Kingstown. Explore the island by bike, bus or train. See quokkas, a friendly marsupial unique to Rottnest. Tour the World War II guns and tunnels. Watch the sun setting over the salt lakes. Enjoy the natural reefs by snorkelling or scuba diving, or simply relax on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
