A magnificent post and beam, passive solar, mudbrick structure, The Centre is solar powered – we live in harmony with the environment while not compromising on comfort! Awarded the highest level of eco-certification and benchmarked by Green Globe 21 we positively enhance Australian ecology through education, research and wildlife care. The centre’s founders, Lizzie and Shayne, are qualified scientists dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity and ecological systems, recognised by the Banksia Foundation, the UN and the Australian Prime Minister. “We welcome guests into our lives and share with them the magic that is nature – a rare sighting of an endangered bird or an unusual flower; an examination of animal tracks on a nature w an outing into the night to watch the Yellow-bellied Gliders feeding; than a return to a warm fire and a hot drink… these are the experiences which our guests treasure and remember.” We are continually expanding our program and are delighted to announce the launch of our Greatest Ocean Walk – the ultimate experience. Accompanied by the Prime Minister’s Environmentalist of the Year, guests are able to enjoy this iconic walk, their experience heightened through interpretation and understanding.
