Lakes Entrance Waverley House Cottages, Lakes Entrance

Waverley House Cottages are nestled on 8 acres of private landscaped native gardens and shady gums. The four spacious cottages all have covered carports and generous verandas to catch the views of Bass Strait or relax on outdoor settings to watch the beautiful sunsets, wine in hand. All guests have use of a solar heated pool, covered kitchen and BBQ area and also our lovely enclosed gazebo with its hot spa and carpeted lounge with open fireplace. Relax here and put on a favourite CD or watch the action on the large overhead plasma TV. The one bedroom cottage “Salmon Company” recalls our historic fishing links in Lakes Entrance and is perfect for a couple wanting a romantic and relaxing break or as a honeymoon destination. The galley kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and convection/microwave oven. Relax on the leather couch in front of the wood fire or with the comfort of reverse cycle air conditioning, TV/DVD/CD/VCR and surround sound. Double doors lead to the queen bed and ensuite bathroom with shower and corner spa. The three two bedroom cottages, individually named “Carstairs”, “Colquhoun” and “Cunninghame” again recall our historic links to earlier guest houses in Lakes Entrance but offer contemporary facilities. They can be booked for two couples with one king and one queen bedroom or for four people – with a queen and two king singles. They offer full kitchen, laundry, TV/DVD/VCR/CD, reverse cycle air conditioning and ensuite spa bath. All linen including beach towels are supplied in the cottages. We make your first night easy with a breakfast basket included in the tariff as well as a welcome pack of locally roasted coffee and treats. The perfect location for a short break, romantic escape or longer stay.

Australia's Best Beaches

Australia has miles and miles of shoreline but which beaches are really great? Ultimately it depends on what you're looking for in a beach. Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes.
