Barossa In Vintage Car 8 Hour Tour – TOUR 1

Ultimate food, wine and classic car day tour of the Barossa Valley departing from Adelaide. Let Auburn Tours offer an alternative to wine tasting and driving. At the same time, enjoy an unforgettable experience being driven around this world renowned wine producing region in a very rare 1935 Auburn convertible. With your knowledgeable local guide, meet the people and experience the history and culture that makes the Barossa such a unique wine producing region.

Tour begins with pick up in a luxury four wheel drive vehicle from the airport, train and bus depots, hotels, bed and breakfast’s and residential accommodation in the inner Adelaide metropolitan area. Travel via the north east suburbs, through the picturesque village of Inglewood, past the Milbrook Reservoir, charming Gumeracha and follow the upper Torrens Valley to the town of Birdwood. (At this time, an option of visiting the National Motor Museum can be included, but with less time available in the Auburn tour vehicle). From Birdwood we travel on to Mount Pleasant, then via the Eden Valley on to Henschke Wines at Keyneton. (An optional visit to Mountadam Vineyard is available on Sundays). A 15 minute drive brings us back to Angaston for a refreshment stop and transfer to the Auburn convertible (travelling with the top down weather permitting). Enjoy a leisurely drive with a luncheon stop (lunch venue is flexible and can include either a platter at a winery, restaurant meal or perhaps a gourmet picnic basket) and a number of wine tastings at some historical and boutique wineries, before we return to Angaston and transfer vehicles for the return journey to Adelaide.

Adelaide to the Barossa Valley Transfer – TOUR 8

Auburn Tours can arrange transfer from/to Adelaide and the Barossa Valley in a current model luxury Landcruiser four wheel drive vehicle. The Auburn vintage car only operates in the Barossa Valley and is not available for links to Adelaide or other regions.

Classic Car Enthusiast 6 Hour Tour – TOUR 7

Classic car enthusiast day tour. Visit the National Motor Museum in the Adelaide Hills, enjoy wine tasting and sightseeing in a fully restored 1935 Auburn convertible. Tour begins with pick up from your Barossa Valley accommodation and travel via Williamstown to the historic town of Birdwood, where we tour the National Motor Museum. After a refreshment stop we continue via Mount Pleasant to Eden Valley for wine tasting at either Henschke or Mountadam wineries. Stop for lunch at a choice of venues in Angaston. Then on to the home of Auburn Tours to view their car restoration workshop. Here, we transfer to the 1935 Auburn convertible for a leisurely two hour scenic and winery tour of the Barossa Valley before returning to your Barossa Valley accommodation.

Barossa In Four Wheel Drive 4 or 6 Hours – TOUR 3

Barossa winery and scenic tour in a luxury four wheel drive vehicle. Four and six hour tours depart from your Barossa Valley accommodation with a flexible itinerary tailored to suit your wishes. Your luxury air conditioned four wheel drive vehicle offers you access to areas not normally visited when travelling in this unique wine producing region.

Barossa In Vintage Car 4 Hour Tour – TOUR 2-4HR

Barossa winery and scenic four hour tour in a unique 1935 Auburn convertible. No matter what season it may be, driving amongst the vines in this beautifully restored vintage vehicle will be a memorable experience. Enjoy a four hour tour departing from your Barossa Valley accommodation. Tour includes visits to at least two historic and two boutique wineries. Itinerary is flexible to suit your wishes, as is your luncheon venue which can include either a platter at a winery, restaurant meal or perhaps a gourmet picnic basket.

Clare Valley In Four Wheel Drive 8 Hours – TOUR 4

Clare Valley wineries and scenic day tour in a luxury four wheel drive vehicle. Departing from your Barossa Valley accommodation with a flexible itinerary tailored to suit your wishes. Tour begins with pick up from your Barossa Valley accommodation and travel via historic Kapunda, Tarlee and on to the quaint town of Auburn at the southern end of the Clare Valley. Itinerary within the valley is totally flexible, as is your luncheon venue, with a choice of a pub, restaurant or heritage cafe which can be decided upon on the day. Included is a visit to historic Martindale Hall (featured in the film Picnic at Hanging Rock). Winery options could include the historic Quelltaler Estate (Annie’s Lane) and Sevenhill Cellars. Boutique wineries like Pikes, Stringy Brae and Tim Adams can also be visited.

Enjoy a six hour tour departing from your Barossa Valley accommodation. Tour includes visits to at least two historic and two boutique wineries. Adelaide Hills, Four Wheel Drive 8 Hours – TOUR 6

Adelaide Hills wineries and scenic seven or eight hour tour in a luxury four wheel drive vehicle. Tour begins with pick up from your Barossa Valley accommodation and travel via Williamstown to Gumeracha and the picturesque Chain of Ponds Winery. Then on to Birdwood (home of the National Motor Museum, optional tour available). We then travel via Mount Torrens to Woodside to visit Melba’s Chocolate Factory. Our luncheon stop is in the historic town of Hahndorf, choice of lunch venue can include a restaurant, quaint pub or cafe. While in town visit Hillstowe Wines. After lunch we travel through the scenic hills towns of Bridgewater (visiting the home of Petaluma wines at the Bridgewater Mill), Stirling and Crafers. Then up to the Mount Lofty Summit for unsurpassed views of the Adelaide plains. For guests staying the night in Adelaide (with time permitting) we can travel down to the eastern suburbs and visit the home of Grange wine, Penfold’s Magill Estate. For those staying in the Barossa we return via Lenswood and Cudlee Creek.

Riverland In Four Wheel Drive 8 Hours – TOUR 5

Riverland day tour in a luxury four wheel drive vehicle including visit to Banrock Station Wine and Wetland Centre. Tour begins with pick up from your Barossa Valley accommodation and travel via Truro to the River Murray town of Blanchetown. On to Waikerie, then a short drive to Banrock Station Wine and Wetland Centre. This is where we start our self guided wetlands tour. The seven kilometre boardwalk gives us an up close view of numerous species of birdlife. We return for lunch at the winery’s restaurant with its picturesque views of the wetlands. After lunch we move onto Barmera on the edge of Lake Bonney. Followed by a leisurely drive north to Overland Corner with its historic hotel, then following the River Murray on the northern bank, we cross by ferry at Waikerie and begin return journey via Swan Reach.
