Boomerang Experience 23 Day Tour – BSA01

Join Terra Australis Safaris for a 23 day high quality nature based exploration tour from the outback to the coast. Take your time, explore and enjoy, in small groups, places like the Barossa Valley, Flinders Ranges, Strzelecki Desert, Cameron Corner, White Cliff opal fields, outback stations, Darling River, the Grampians, the magnificent southern coastline and Kangaroo Island.

. Day One – Travel to the Barossa Valley and Burra, overnight accommodation at Paxton Square Cottages.

. Day Two – Travel to Terowie, Flinders Ranges National Park and Wilpena Pound, overnight accommodation at Wilpena Pound campground.

. Day Three – Explore the Flinders Ranges National Park and the Gammon Ranges, overnight accommodation at either Wilpena Pound campground or Chambers Gorge bush camp.

. Day Four – Spend another day exploring the Flinders Ranges National Park and the Gammon Ranges, overnight accommodation at Chambers Gorge bush camp.

. Day Five – Today we travel to the Strzelecki Track, overnight camping at the Strzelecki Desert bush camp.

. Day Six – Today we travel to Cameron Corner where three states, South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland meet. Travelling to Tibooburra and Salisbury Downs Station, overnight camping at Salisbury Station bush camp.

. Day Seven – Today we travel to White Cliffs the oldest opal mining town in Australia. We have the chance to meet an opal miner. Overnight accommodation at PJ’s Underground Bed and Breakfast.

. Day Eight – Travel to Willcannia and the Menindee Lakes, following the dirt track along the famous Darling River, reaching Tolarno Sheep Station where we will camp for the coming night.

. Day Nine – After spending the morning at Torlano Sheep Station we head south to Mildura. Overnight camping at the Desert City Caravan Park in Mildura.

. Day Ten – Spend the morning exploring Mildura before heading to Red Cliffs, the Hattah Kulkyne National Park and the Wyperfield National Park. Overnight camping at Hattah Kulkyne or Wyperfield National Park Camp.

. Day 11 – Spend another day in the Hattah Kulkyne National Park or the Wyperfield National Park or depending on the weather head to the Grampians National Park via Horsham. Overnight camping at either Hattah Kulkyne/Wyperfeld National Park or Parkgate Resort.

. Day 12 and 13 – Today we explore the Grampians National Park. Overnight camping at the Parkgate Resort campground.

. Day 14 – We travel to Ballarat and Sovereign Hill and step back in time exploring the old goldmining town. Overnight accommodation at Sovereign Hill Lodge.

. Day 15 – Today we travel along the Great Ocean road stoping at the various scenic look outs along this magnificent coast line, Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge, Bay of Island to name a few. Overnight accommodation at the Warrnambool campground.

. Day 16 – Today we head to the Lower Glenelg National Park via Port Fairy, Portland and Nelson. Overnight camping at the Princess Margaret Rose Camp.

. Day 17 – Today we head to the Coorong National Park via Nelson, Mount Gambier and Kingston. Overnight accommodation at Gemini Downs cabins.

. Day 18 – Travelling via Meningie we reach Wellington where a ferry brings us to the other side of the Murray River. We continue on to Victor Harbor where you can enjoy a walk around Granite Island before heading to Deep Creek Conservation Park. Overnight accommodation at Deep Creek Homestead.

. Day 19 – Deep Creek Conservation Park. Overnight accommodation at Deep Creek Homestead.

. Day 20 and 22 – Kangaroo Island. Overnight camping at the Western Kangaroo Island campground.

. Day 23 – Kangaroo Island to Adelaide.
