At Townsville Tropical Tours the focus is on the unique natural environment and the flora and fauna of the region, which includes the spectacular scenery of the World Heritage Listed Wet Tropics Rainforest, tropical savanna woodlands, the dry and rugged outback and majestic waterfalls. The most popular tours are the Tropical Rainforest Tour and the Outback and Rainforest Tour.

Townsville Tropical Tours also conduct full day tours to the historic gold rush city of Charters Towers. The city boasts a wealth of historic buildings, fascinating stories and characters.

Tropical Rainforest Tour

On this fully interpreted tour of the World Heritage Listed Rainforest of the Paluma Range National Park and adjacent eucalypt woodland you will experience cool crisp mountain air, learn about ancient trees and plants, view native wildlife in diverse and dramatic landscapes and swim in a cascading waterfall. City Sights Tour

Enjoy a fully-interpreted two and a half hour tour of Townsville featuring their fascinating pioneer past, the war years and fine examples of early colonial architecture with their expert guides. View Heritage Queenslanders, workers cottages and modern homes of the wealthy along with Castle Hill, The Strand, Historic Flinders St East, Jezzine Barracks, Anzac Park, South Townsville and the Port. Historic Charters Towers

At Christmas time in 1871 the aboriginal lad Jupiter Mosman picked up a shining nugget that sparked off the greatest gold rush ever seen in North Queensland. Visit the historic gold rush city of Charter Towers. You’ll see the site where gold was discovered, the Venus Battery gold crushing plant, the old Stock Exchange and Towers Hill. Outback and Rainforest Tour

Experience the contrast between the dry rugged outback and the lush World Heritage Listed Rainforest of the Paluma Range National park in this fully interpreted four wheel drive adventure. Drive across the Desert Uplands and visit the mountaintop village of Paluma with its cool mountain air, lush tropical rainforest and cascading waterfalls.
