Reef and Rainforest Connections, based in Port Douglas is 100 per cent locally owned and operated. All their guides have a wide knowledge of flora, fauna, history, local geography and geology and will be pleased to share it with you through the course of the day.

Their Rainforest Safari options all include a guided eco accredited Daintree River Cruise and rainforest interpretive walk/s. Each tour offers various inclusions and destinations such as Mossman Gorge, Daintree, Cape Tribulation, Bloomfield Falls of Indigenous guided walk.

Kuranda, the vibrant village of the rainforest is a popular destination and they interweave the nature based attractions such as The Rainforest Habitat, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, Rainforestation, Skyrail Rainforest Cableway with Kuranda Scenic Rail and Tjupukai Aboriginal Cultural Park giving clients a diverse range of tours to choose from.

Touring Options

Kuranda And The Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary

Commence your day with a sumptuous tropical buffet followed by a guided tour of this diverse eco attraction. The Habitat plays host to over 100 species of local birds and gives you the opportunity to observe a wide range of Australian native animals.

Board Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for the trip to Kuranda with time to explore the two stations along the way, view the Barron Gorge and Falls and learn about this environment in the CSIRO Rainforest Interpretive Centre.

Descend the Barron Gorge with Kuranda Scenic Rail and enjoy the magnificent scenery along the 23 kilometre journey.

Cape Tribulation and Wilderness Safari

View the rainforest from the forest floor whilst your guide takes you for a interpretive walk, then from another perspective as you ascend the unique Daintree Discovery Centre Tower which takes you 23 metres up into the canopy and newly constructed aerial walkway.

Cape Tribulation and Mossman Gorge Tour

This tour is suited to less agile travellers and families, due to it being less strenuous and very cost competitive. Visit the iconic site of the Daintree National Park like the Daintree Discovery Centre which has a 23 metre canopy tower, aerial walkway, touch screen technology and static displays of seeds and fruits found in the area.

This is delivered in a personable, professional manner and includes a morning refreshment, two course lunch and guided walks. There is also the opportunity to swim at the Mossman Gorge, a beautiful rainforest fringed granite rock river system with safe swimming area.
