Aussie Off Road Tours is a family owned and operated business that can deliver half day, full day, two day or custom tours travelling the Kimberley. Search for crocodiles in a billabong, explore the Kimberley’s ancient gorges or simply enjoy one of Broome’s amazing sunsets on a remote beach.

Come to the Kimberley region, the last frontier. Meet Brad Bayfield, Broome’s bush tucker man. Brad is an experienced four wheel drive tour operator with a passion and enthusiasm for the Australian bush. He has experience and is familiar with indigenous people, animals, bush tucker and bush medicine.
Nothing is too much trouble for Brad and his personal touch will ensure you experience the real outback on a tour that you will never forget!

Our tour vehicles are four star four wheel drives with forward facing seats specifically designed to meet the rugged conditions of the Kimberley. Vehicles are maintained in accordance with Department of Transport regulations, are air conditioned and fully equipped with satellite phones and first aid kits.

Our meals are home-made and healthy, using the freshest ingredients and local produce where possible. We cater for special dietary requirements and you will certainly not be left hungry.

Half Day Northern Beaches Tour with Sunset

Join us for a wonderful half day adventure as we travel north of Broome along the Manarie Road. Along the way learn about our fantastic Kimberley locals and interesting bush tucker. As we reach a remote beach you will be astounded by the brilliant contrast of colours and exquisite shells.

Relax and enjoy a casual stroll before we depart further into the untouched outback where huge ant hills, abundant birdlife and wildlife can be enjoyed. Afternoon tea is served north of Barred Creek at an old pearler’s camp. The unique freshness of the outback, birdlife and petrified forest with its breathtaking coastal view surrounds you.

As we continue our journey to Quondong Point and up to James Price Point the brilliant red pindan cliffs that hug the coast as far as the eye can see is an amazing sight. As you relax on the cliff enjoying superb Western Australian wines and a selection of nibblies Mother Nature ends your fascinating day with a spectacular sunset.

One Day Windjana Gorge/Tunnel Creek/Oscar Ranges Tour

Enjoy a scenic drive towards Derby where the unique boab trees, birds, wildlife, cattle and the famous ‘ant hill graveyard’ will astound you. Morning tea is served at the mighty Fitzroy River before heading towards Derby and visiting the ancient Prison Boab Tree. See the longest watering trough in the Southern hemisphere before tackling the Gibb River Road on our way towards Windjana Gorge.

In places the walls of this ancient barrier reef rise in height to 100 metres and contain fossilised life forms. This huge gorge is full of freshwater crocodiles, many species of birdlife and home to a colony of fruit bats.

Relax and enjoy a healthy gourmet lunch before we venture 36 kilometres east to Tunnel Creek National Park. Here we wade through the 750 metre cave system which has been carved by floodwaters flowing through the limestone. Tunnel Creek known as the ‘cave of bats’ is home to red fruit bats, bent wing bats and endangered ghost bats. Hear the story of the Aboriginal freedom fighter ‘Jandamarra’ who used this Tunnel as a hide out in the late 1890’s before his capture.

We then continue down the Fairfield Leopold Road towards Fitzroy Crossing stopping at the magnificent Oscar Ranges. With plenty of time to explore this area and its myriad of caves this remote range is sure to leave a lasting impression. Relax and enjoy a complimentary cold beer or wine while we prepare a delicious fresh fish barbecue dinner watching a beautiful Kimberley sunset in the outback.

Return to Broome at a leisurely pace.
