Downunder Recreational Tours provide Farmstays that are an extremely rewarding cultural experience for both you and the farm families. Stay with a farm family and enjoy tasty Australian home cooked meals. Join in with family activities and participate in seasonal farm activities, common to each farm. The families provide a warm and friendly atmosphere, typical of Aussie hospitality. Some farms have tennis courts, swimming pools, table tennis tables, billiard tables and dams for yabbying or fishing. All families for the farmstays and homestays are interviewed and homes inspected to ensure a high standard of accommodation. A Homestay with an Australian family is something that you will treasure for the rest of your life. Aussie hospitality is at its best with families providing you with a complete look at our unique, easy-going family lifestyle. A Homestay is a great opportunity to experience Australian customs and culture, including tasting our fine Aussie food and seeing some of our famous tourist attractions. Our families have good communication skills and are experienced at hosting international students. We conduct English or Study Tours combined with a Homestay and/or Farmstay for international students. Our lessons can be conducted at colleges or schools with trained teachers. A Homestay with a study tour provides the perfect opportunity for students to practise their English with their Homestay family. Students are given a specially designed textbook for their personal use during the program. In all our programs, students are escorted to and from the learning facility by a host family member. There is also a certificate presentation to all students at the completion of a Farmstay or Homestay. Special interest group tours are another specialised segment of our business. We can conduct specialised tours to universities, pre-schools, schools, nursing homes, hospitals, welfare organisations and environment and conservation associations, etc.
