Blue Mountains Adventure Company, based in Katoomba, was established in 1984 and is one of the most experienced, longest serving adventure tour operators in the Blue Mountains.

With over 20 years experience, we have courses for all levels – introductory to advanced.

Prices include professional guide, all specialist equipment as required for each activity, lunch, drinks, snacks and National Parks entry fee.
Our staff is highly qualified by the Australian Climbing Instructors Association, Safety Network (Wilderness First Aid) and NSW TAFE.

We have an exceptional safety record, are licensed by National Parks and Wildlife Service and are covered by $10 million public liability insurance.

Touring Options

Rockclimbing

Blue Mountains Adventure Company offers a variety of rockclimbing courses to suit all levels of experience.
For the adventurous who have never tried this exciting sport we have a one introductory course which focuses on lots of climbing plus technique, cliff safety and belaying.
We also offer a two day introductory course with emphasis knots, anchors and rigging.
The two day intermediate course is for those that wish to expand their knowledge and the two day advanced course covers multi pitching, natural protection and an introduction to leading.

Abseiling / Canyoning – Empress Falls

The ideal introduction to canyoning. This is a combined abseiling course and canyon trip which teaches the necessary skills to tackle harder and longer canyons such as Claustral and Serendipity. It’s not hard to see why this trip is so popular. Learn the fundamentals of abseiling in the morning with a range of abseils in height from 2.5 to 25 metres. After a delicious picnic lunch you put your newly acquired skills to use in the exciting and action-packed Empress Falls Canyon. Scrambling, wading, swimming and jumping leads to a thrilling climax – a 30 metre abseil straight down a pounding waterfall into a deep pool. The 20 minute walk out is on a well formed walking track with magnificent views of the Jamison Valley.

Suitable for people with no prior experience in canyoning or abseiling. Participants must be able to swim and have an average fitness level. Tours held any day of the year on demand.

Introductory Abseiling

Abseiling is a challenging, exciting and fun filled activity which can be enjoyed by anyone, from family groups to serious adrenalin junkies, from young to old, anyonecan abseil. The abseils at our beutiful bush setting include abseils from 3 metres up to 55 metres. Suitable for people with no prior experience in abseiling. Tours held any day of the year on demand.
