Bondi Explorer – State Transit Authority

The ‘blue’ Bondi Explorer hop on hop off tour bus has 19 stops, taking you along a picturesque path through Sydney‘s affluent Eastern Suburbs, out to Watsons Bay and on to cosmopolitan Bondi Beach. Then sit back and view the rugged coastline and golden sands of Tamarama, Bronte and Coogee Beaches. It’s the perfect way to take in some of Australia’s most famous coastline all year round, rain or shine.

On board informative commentary details the historical significance of attractions, buildings and scenic sites on the route.There’s no need to book, just jump on board and buy your ticket from the driver. And, of course, your Bondi Explorer ticket lets you travel free on the regular Sydney Buses up to midnight on the same day, in the circular route covered by the ‘blue’ Explorer Bus.

The Bondi Explorer operates every day, travelling a 30 kilometre circuit around Sydney’s beautiful harbourside bays and beaches and back to the city. Board anywhere along the route where you see the Bondi Explorer stop sign, and jump off at any attraction along the way. If you wish to stay on board from start to finish without making any stops, the entire circuit takes approximately 2 hours to complete. It operates at a thirty minute frequency commencing from Circular Quay at 845am with the last round trip starting at 415pm to arrive back at Circular Quay at 615pm.
