Port Stephens 4WD Tours have a range of off road vehicles to get you into the Stockton Bight Sand Dunes – mainland Australia’s largest coastal sand mass. With daily scheduled tours from one to three hours enjoy sandboarding, beach and dune driving, pipi catch and release, visits to ‘Tin City,’ and the shipwreck of the ‘Sygna,’ as well as WWII and historical sights of interest!

Touring Options

1 Hour 4WD Sandboarding Adventure

Beach and dune driving, sandboarding down 30 metre high dunes, beach activities including pipi catch and release.

2 Hour Beach and Dune Tour

11 kilometres of beach and dune driving to ‘Tin City,’ a small makeshift fishing village that emerges from the dunes like a mirage! View WWII and historical sites, with beach activities including pipi catch and release, and sandboarding.

3 Hour Sygna Wreck Tour

26 kilometres of beach and dune driving to the Sygna Wreck – a Norwegian bulk carrier that ran aground during heavy seas during 1974. Morning or afternoon tea is included, before travelling back via ‘Tin City,’ WWII and historical sites, with beach avtivities including pipi catch and release, and sandboarding.
