North West Tagalong Tours is offering escorted self drive self catered four wheel drive (4wd) tours through some of the most remote and spectacular landscapes in Australia.

Cook over an open fire and sleep under the stars far from city lights and noise, awakening to the sun rising over a far horizon. Our guides and lead vehicle are fully prepared to assist you wherever needed. We travel in a small group which ensures a friendly easy going atmosphere.There will be time to pursue your individual interests be it astronomy, bird watching, photography or simply relaxing in the vastness of the outback around the campfire after a days travel.

Women only groups are encouraged and no outback four wheel drive (4×4) driving skills are needed as we assist beginners while we travel.

Join us and experience the holiday adventure of a lifetime as we travel the Western Deserts on the historic Canning Stock Route with its seemingly endless red sand dunes clothed in vegetation, wild camels and kangaroos.Explore the gorges in the ranges surrounding the desert oasis of Durba Springs, a mecca in the droving days, as it still is today for travellers in the desert country. Visit most of the 51 wells established to water cattle, horses, camels and men travelling the stock route and discover the rich history of the area with its tragedies and triumphs.

As we enter the Southern Kimberley, we visit Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater and Halls Creek. You can take a boat cruise on the Fitzroy River at Geike Gorge, wade through the cool waters of Tunnel Creek and photograph the freshwater crocodiles in spectaular Winjanna Gorge, take a dip in the rapids of the May river at Poltams pool before visiting Derby with its enormous tides then onto Broome, pearling and tourism centre of the Kimberleys where the tour ends.

The reverse 23 day tour starting in Broome via the Southern Kimberley, Canning Stock Route and finishing in Toodyay.
