Shute Hill, Ellenborough

Great scenery – great river – fabulous rainforest – comfortable cabins. The perfect location for couples, families or small groups to escape – getaway or have a holiday break. Found some 170 years ago by explorer John Oxley who made an overnight stopover while exploring the Hasting River.

John Shute and Anne Hill have improved the perfect location by building comfortable two bedroom cabins for others to enjoy this idyllic location. The cabins offer a full kitchen for self-catering so once settle in there is
no need to leave.

Surrounded by hills and forests disturbed only by the call of the currawongs and kookaburras and gurgling river. The river is just a 50-metre stroll, perfect for swimming – fishing and canoeing. If you are feeling creative, take your camera or sketchbook, the place is an inspiration. Plenty of open space – bushwalking – peace and tranquillity. Just the place to recharge tired bodies and souls.
