Crowne Plaza Newcastle, Newcastle

Crowne Plaza Newcastle is located directly on the foreshore of Australia’s newest harbour playground. Amongst the historical maritime buildings of the Honeysuckle Precinct, the hotel has been built to reflect the harbour’s excitement, with most rooms looking directly onto the fascinating activity of ferries, trawlers, rowers and fishing boats.

The 175 one-bedroom suites, most with panoramic harbour views, contain a separate living area, complimentary cable TV, desk, dual-modem connection and breakfast bar. The Club Floor, comprising 38 guest suites, offers continental breakfast, evening canap service and extended business facilities. Also on the Club Floor are Club Spa Suites, with king beds, spas and most with balconies.

The outdoor 25-metre pool, neighbouring the fully equipped gymnasium, is located on the Harbour Terrace overlooking Newcastle’s working harbour.

Directly in front of the hotel is the foreshore promenade leading past Nobby’s Lighthouse, restaurants and bars and along five kilometres of Newcastle Beach’s walking path, called Bathers’ Way. For culture buffs, the Civic Theatre and Newcastle Region Art Gallery are 300 metres away.

The hotel’s breeze RESTAURANT & BAR presents renowned Hunter Valley produce in a fresh, modern style. Hunter wines by the glass afford an opportunity to taste the Hunter while enjoying harbour views.

For meetings and events, Crowne Plaza Newcastle offers five function rooms, with ballroom banqueting capacity for 160 guests and vehicle access for trade shows, and two smaller boardrooms for more intimate meetings. The hotel also provides audio-visual technical support onsite.
