Touring Options

1 Day Fly Fishing and Luring

Enjoy access to some of the best fishing locations in the remote estuaries of Arnhem Land on this fly fishing and luring tour. Aboriginal guides may be available to assist you on the day, and there will be opportunities to catch barramundi and other native sportfish. You are welcome to bring your favourite fly fishing gear or you can use the tackle provided. For beginner or expert this is a truly exciting fishing experience.

Sightseeing and Interpretive Tour

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Nhulunbuy and its picturesque surrounds. You can visit Mt Saunders, see the Aboriginal Art and Craft Centre and explore beautiful local beaches. Along the way you will be provided with a comprehensive narration on the township, flora and fauna, and culture of the region, and will have the chance to meet some of the local Aboriginal people.

1 Day Aboriginal Culture and Eco Tour

Travel to a remote Aboriginal community and discover the ancient culture of a fascinating people on this Arnhem Land tour. During the tour you will learn about native flora and fauna and gain an insight into the spiritual kinship that the local Aboriginal people share with the land. At the community you can meet Aboriginal elders, view arts and crafts and see demonstrations of yam hunting, sugar bar hunting or traditional spear fishing. The friendly local people are happy to educate visitors on their traditional culture, foods and medicines.

1 Day Barramundi Fishing with Aboriginal Guides

Travel to a remote Aboriginal community where local guides will join you on this fishing tour of Arnhem Land. Cruise along unspoiled rivers and estuaries to the best fishing locations, where your guides will point out crocodiles and other wildlife and, if the opportunity arises, will spear crabs and fish to demonstrate traditional hunting methods.
